Steeped in Snowmounds

There was a feeble attempt to return to Williams Field today, but it was cut short.  Vast snowmounds and somewhat high winds would have put a nice cap on the workday today.  Marc Rosen from Dana Braun made it out with Dave Sullivan to make sure that TIGER and ANITA were both dry and secure from the blowing snow before returning to town.

And so it was another day of rest.  For most of us, this was a happily welcomed day off.  Even though we were only stranded for a bit out at Willy, the cold and wind can really zap your energy.  I didn't do much else besides catch up on sleep and phone calls.  All day long in town, the sounds of bulldozers and other heavy equipment vehicles could be heard moving around huge amounts of snow.
Tomorrow, we're heading back out.  The NSBF crew and the Williams Field general assistants (GAs) have their work cut out for them as far as removing gigantic amounts of snow is concerned.
